Question 1: Where can I get the latest information about training events for NSW schools in 2000?
Answer:

Visit the What's New page to get the latest information on the LIG events for the year. During Term 1 2000, the website Calendar will be updated with the exact dates of scheduled LIG events.

Question 2: How confident can I be about the accuracy of the information on found on this website?
Answer: Every effort is being made to keep the information on this web site accurate, relevant and up-to-date for its main users, teachers in NSW schools. You need to bear in mind, however, that some parts of the site (such as the Discussion Board) may sometimes include the opinions of individual participants and users. These may not always reflect the views of the Board of Studies or of the other educational organisations involved. You need to exercise your commonsense in how you use the information gathered from this site.

How do I participate in discussion on this website?

Answer:

You can visit the Discussion area of this website to read or to participate in ongoing discussions or conferences about New HSC topics at any time.

You can either visit as a guest or you can participate as a registered user. Visiting as a guest means that you can browse conferences (read the information posted there by others). If you want to contribute to discussion you will need to register. Registration costs nothing and is simple to do. If you need help at any time, you can read the list of Main features of the New HSC Discussion Board or for even more information the Reference Guide.

Question 4: Who can initiate discussion topics on this site?
Answer: Because this site is mainly designed for teachers in the NSW school community, discussion is generally monitored for relevance. Such monitoring is done to protect the interests and needs of the main users of this site, teachers in NSW schools. This means that all discussion postings will go through a ‘manager’. Managers can initiate topics for discussion. So, if you have a burning issue you wish to suggest for discussion, use the Feedback option to communicate your ideas to the team managing the site. All suggestions for discussion are very welcome!
Question 5: Does this website have information or materials relevant to the local interest group and subject specific training events?
Answer: Yes. Usually not long after each event has been held, the relevant materials will be uploaded onto this website. You can then download the files you want and read, save or print them using Adobe Acrobat. To find the relevant materials after events are held, simply go to the Workshop Materials and Programs section of the Resources area.
   
Question 6: How do I know that I'm looking at the most recent version of each page on the website?
Answer: To ensure that you are viewing the latest version of any page, just click on the "Refresh" or "Reload" button located on your browser menu. This will bring up the newest version of the page.
   
Question 7: Where can I get help if I'm having trouble downloading files from this site?
Answer: You can get help by clicking on Feedback which appears in the top menu of most pages on the site. This will enables you to contact the site administrator about any problems you are experiencing or questions you may have regarding the site. Please try to provide as much information as possible concerning your enquiry.
