Discussions
Upon entering the
Discussion Board you will see the available discussion subjects
listed. These discussions may also be referred to as "conferences".
Under each discussion title there is a number of topics. You may
choose to read or respond to messages under these topics or add
a new topic. You can post messages at any time of the day and a
help facility is available from the menu bar in the Discussion Board
area.
Email
Notify
This allows
you to be notified of new messages posted onto the Discussion
Board. You can select this from the menu in the Discussion Board
and follow the steps to subscribe. Email Notify helps you keep
track of activity in discussions that are of particular interest
to you.
Mailing
Lists
This allows you
to participate in a discussion without being logged in to the
Discussion Board. You will be sent an email version of the message
posted and you will be able to reply directly without logging
on to the Discussion Board.
Chat
sessions
Chat sessions are
scheduled times when a group of people may log on to the Web Board
and engage in a particular discussion. At these scheduled times
an informed person in the subject area will be online to provide
expert responses and assistance. The duration of each session
will depend on the number of users participating. Dates and times
of chat sessions will be displayed on the Calendar, What’s New
and the Discussion Board.
