These programs have been cooperatively developed by groups of teachers in a collaborative cross sectoral writing project. Teachers need to be aware that modules by teachers in systems other than their own may include priorities and emphases not relevant to their schools system.

Please note: The sample programs available on this site do not necessarily reflect the revisions to the Science syllabuses by the NSW Office of the Board of Studies in September 2002.

Both PDF and Word versions of the documents are available and are identified by the clickable white and yellow download icons respectively - see the table references below for explanation of the code for sectors used. DISCLAIMER: While every care has been taken to ensure that syllabus requirements have been met in this sample program, it remains the responsibility of the implementing teacher to confirm that this is the case and to determine that the level of specificity required by the syllabus has been achieved during the delivery of the course. In particular, because these programs have been developed in isolation form each other, schools and teachers using these programs as models will need to ensure that there is a progressive development of skills in each year and across both years.
The Science Curriculum Support Newsletter will retain its HSC supplement in 2001 and will continue to provide advice about implementing the new Stage 6 science courses.
