Talking and listening 1

Module 1 provides professional learning about talking and listening in Early Stage 1 and Stage 1 classrooms. This module is designed to be completed over two weeks.

During this module participants will:

• access relevant sections of the English K-6 Syllabus and Focus on literacy: Talking and listening
• conduct an assessment task with their target group of students
• use the data from the assessment task to plan classroom talking and listening activities
• work with the class, and specifically a target small group of students, on talking and listening activities centred around morning talk.
