Outcomes

Module 3 provides professional learning about reading in Stage 2 classrooms.

At the conclusion of this module course participants will have:

• accessed relevant sections of the English K-6 Syllabus and DET literacy support documents
• chosen a target group of students with whom to work, and conducted an initial assessment task with them
• used the assessment data to plan explicit and systematic reading activities
• worked with the class, and specifically the target group of students, to improve Syllabus outcomes related to learning to and learning about reading outcomes
• used the online discussion board to reflect on student learning, and teacher professional learning.
