The Board of Studies English K-6 Syllabus and support documents, and the Department of Education and Training State Literacy Strategy documents are the basic documents from which teachers in NSW work as they teach literacy skills in their classrooms.

Three of the English K-6 documentsbelow are produced by the Board of Studies and are available on the Board of Studies web site:

Relevant sections of documents produced as part of the DET State Literacy Strategy to support the implementation of the English K-6 Syllabus are available within this Literacy Online – Stage 2 course web site.

Participants should be aware of these resources. Frequent reference will be made to them throughout the course.
