Effective Early Stage 1 learning experiences:

  • focus on syllabus outcomes
  • are based on designing and making, and investigating processes
  • provide diversity and balance that reflects the scope of the syllabus.

 

Early Stage 1

For many students Early Stage 1 is the start of their formal science and technology education. Across most classes students will have had significantly different prior learning experiences.

On entry all students will hold their own explanations of the physical world and how it operates. In some cases these explanations will not be consistent with accepted scientific or techological explanations
