The previous section provides a structure for the development
of the school plan. It includes an overview of the scope and progression
of
learning in SciTech based on outcomes and big ideas for
K-6.
The establishment of such a plan is just the beginning. The effectiveness
of the school plan is measured by its flexibility that allows teachers
to develop programs that respond to the needs of the students in their
class.
A school plan may be in place for a number of years. It is used on
a regular basis for guiding and planning teaching and learning in the
classroom setting.
However, the planning process is cyclic and the plan will be reviewed
systematically and revised when appropriate. Planning cycles should
aim to raise the quality of the school's implementation of SciTech
to a higher level.
