Effective Stage 2 learning experiences:

  • focus on syllabus outcomes
  • are based on designing and making, and investigating processes
  • provide diversity and balance that reflects the scope of the syllabus
  • build upon the experiences provided in earlier stages.

 

Stage 2

As a result of learning experiences in Stage 1, students will have gained an appreciation that science and technology are more than areas of knowledge and will have developed early understandings of the processes of 'investigating' and 'designing and making'.

In Stage 2 students will build on these early understandings. Students will more confidently use the language of Science and Technology and they will be able to talk about the processes of 'investigating' and 'designing and making'.
