Part B: Teaching sequence
The teaching sequence below provides an overview of the intended activities
in the fifteen week unit. Syllabus outcomes for each activity are indicated
in brackets (). For more information about syllabus links scroll to the bottom
of this page and click the Syllabus links button. Within the Teaching sequence
a number of activities are linked (shown in purple) to more detailed
teaching notes which include information about the activities and student handouts.
Student design task
Design a web page to represent yourself and to showcase your class work to
the school community. The web page will be published on the school’s
intranet.

Introduction and overview
of the Technology (mandatory) course and course requirements

intranet co-ordinator or network administrator to talk
about how web pages are developed within the school intranet
system and the benefits of their work to the school community.
Guest speaker to also help establish technical, graphical

Experiment with tools – scanner,

information, displaying information, scanning, background,
layout, manipulating and editing images. Record experiments
